It is difficult to set an exact price for each personal video biography. Every production is unique. It could be a video as short as ten minutes, or as long as one hour. It could be a simple compilation Best of Video or a Fully Developed Production, with additional location footage shot by us, with voice over and original musical score. Or again, it could be the completion of an oral history project or production of a documentary video for a community group or non-profit organization. Each situation is different.

Other factors also determine costs. This includes, but is not limited to the following; length of interviews, number of people interviewed, location(s) of interviews, kind of audio and video equipment used during production, kinds of material received from you and/or others to be incorporated into the final personal video biography, and particular medium of the final output being requested - be it VHS video tape, DVD, CD, CD-ROM or broadcast quality professional Beta Cam SP video tape. Additional travel related charges also apply to all in-person interviews and location filming conducted outside of the Greater Toronto Area.

Canadian Video Biography is also available to complete an oral history project that has already been started - or alternatively produce a community groups or non-profit organizations documentary video. An additional administrative fee is required to review what has already been done or the documentary project being proposed. However, special discount rates apply to community groups and non-profit organizations for production and post-production work done on each of their projects, and thus reducing the overall costs for such special projects.
